The Skink

This the AA version of the Sherman made by the Canadians. They called it the Skink. It never made its way into production after the prototype stage.

The turret was made from scratch and the hull is the modified Tasca Sherman hull.

Comments are welcome. [:)]

I like it! We’re talking unusual here! I wish the fotos weren’t so dark… Keep 'em coming and have a nice day

Pawel

Looks pretty neat but we need lighter pics to really appreciate the job you did.

I have to ask… Scratched? Modified? From the oobmiester?[:O]

hey Dwight i always wanted to get one of thoughs can you lighten the pics. what i can see looks SWEET!!

Clay

Nicely done. I’ve never heard or seen this one before.

Hey great to see you back Dwight. Tells more about how you scratched the turret.

Great looking conversion! I too would like some brighter photos.

I remember hearing about this vehicle before, and did a bit of searching. Seems one fully functional model was made, and even saw a bit of combat!

Again, congrats on a very cool build!

Chris

thats an awesome build!

thanks for the link too! great info!

Nice to see you thinking outside of the box! That’s quite the good job of rendering the turret on such an unusual vehicle.

Great looking build!

Dwight:

nice seeing something completely different.

Canada and other British colonies contributed a LOT to Britain’s war effort in both world wars.

I always like to see different…and that this is. Nice scratch work.

Rounds Complete!!

Real nice job Dwight on a very unique looking Sherman variant[Y]

Thanks for the comments. Sorry for the late reply. I am really having a hard time accessing the forum after the changes were implemented. I will try get better pictures.

Again, thanks.
