the sherman is done. now how about the dio???

this is my starting point for my first dio. i have a heavily weathered sherman and a flat piece of wood. so what do i do. well first i putty the wood. then i try to construct something that will compliment the scene that i want to do.

Well all great work starts with a blank canvas. Once again the sherman looks real good. I think you have to add at least a little random bumps to break up the all flatness. Just my [2c] Good luck with it.

Looks like you are off to a good start. I look forward to see how it progesses.

Well, I think you are on the right track, Joe. My suggestion is to have a main focus or plot from where you will develop the details of the dio.

Keep us updated.

Joe,

When did all this happen? Great start. I like the figgy placement.

Ted

[:D] the kit looks great ,as for the dio,i would add some humps and bumps just to brake the flat area.nice work.[:D]

Hey Joe,

Would you be kind enough to let us in on the story. I think you told it once before, but it would be nice to for us to share the history.

Regards,

Steve

Great start on the dio joe. Can’t wait to see it completed. Bryan

Joe,

Is there a German with a panzerschrek sneaking around the back of that Sherman? Hint [:D]

thanks all. this one has a bit of a history to it. my grandfather was a member of the us army 27th infantry division. he participated in three major battles in the pacific. this one is to be a scene on okinawa. although i dont want to give it away this is a general idea of that battle and the mopping up operations that my grandfather was involved in. i am stuggling with a name for it. although the thought “it isnt over till its over” strikes me as very fitting.

thanks again.

joe
