The "road" test was a big success so let's load'er up.

From a secluded landing strip somewhere in the Blue Ridge the ante goes WAY up.

This "ridge runnin’ bush ape"s got BIG teeth!

Look what my buddy scrounged up from that big pile of scrap out behind the hanger. And in .50 calibre too. With a top speed of almost 700 mph it looks like tack strips and shotguns just ain’t gonna get it done this time, ya reckon?

I think Mr. Kogan is gonna have to open up a new pack of "Lucky"s if he wants to put this ridge runner out of commission. Lessons learned in “The Hunters” transfer well to “Thunder Road” it seems. Coincidence that both movies were released in '58? Mmmm, maybe not.

I LOVE this!!! Great solution to the “Revenooor” problem. Need some special markings to commemorate Lucas Dulin, however.I can just hear this Baby coming in at treetop level, underneath Radar…

The speed and altitude takes care of the “T-men” problem and those fifties make life a LOT harder for the “criminal conspiracy” bunch. I’ll have to see what I can do about some nose art.

Until then, here’s my “old” ride. It’s hard to make out the name on the nose but it reads “RIDGE RUNNER” and has a wild hog that would be right at home on ol’ Curtis Turner’s '56 Ford.

The first stop for that road test if you want can be at the collage here in Texas. I will have to get the airport code for you but I already have enough people for you to make about 10 trips.

The code is CNW Texas State Technical College Waco Texas. Drop about 200 meters west of the North-South runway just miss the building on the north of the parking lot. Also let me know when to expect the drop shipment and I will pop smoke for you.

With that kind of welcome the song I just heard on the radio fits right in, “God blessed Texas”. Now that’s real Southern Hospitality!
