The progress of 'Nancy'

G’day Folk’s,

Cockpit tub cut from floor plate, resin pilot seat fiited.

Underneath port wing showing resin wing flap and slightly opened cowling flaps, and instalation of missing formation light on the trailedge of the wing tip.

Starboard underwing showing the filled gun ports, to bring the wing back to the Mk XXI 4 gun wing

Resin rudder [blue taced in place] and raised spine, another part missing from the kit moulding.

These 4 pic’s show the progress of this 48 scale Beaufighter with the resin bits as the tailplane’s have not been cut yet to include the resin elivators. This started life as the Night Fighter kit by Tamiya and it moulded in black plastic, the finished bird is going to look totally different, in both what will hang under it and it’s paint and decal scheme.

I’ll update the progress again when the model is almost to the painting stage.

Rob.

“Nancy” looks great, and she’ll be even more beautiful when she grows up!

Looks good, Lobbie ! I always did think Tamiya’s Beaufighter was kinda bare on the interior.
Looking forward to more pics !

A OK… that Nancy’s a real piece of work.[:D]

Looking good!

If the progress pics are any indication, I can’t wait to see the finished product.

The going is definetly good! It makes me wish I had taken a bit more time with my Beaufighter.

Rob
That looks really good so far, can’t wait to see it when it’s done. It’s even more impressive when you think about the fact you’re doing all that upside down from us folks in the northern hemisphere. [:D]

Good progress so far. What did you use for the interior color? It looks a little brighter green than the British Interior Green I use.

Regards, Rick
