Saw this great model on YouTube, I think I want one.
Its a 1/2.5 scale driveable sherman tank! And there are vids showing how to dupiclicate it’s construction!

That would be funny to drive one around. I wonder how my insurance company will classify this vehicle as. My local Psychiatric hospital used surplus M4 Sherman as a snow plow and when it broke down, they just dumped it in the ditch and buried it. About 20 years ago, local tank museum (Mattituck, NY, now they moved down to VA) salvaged what was remaining of the tank.
I heard from someone that they used to rip off the turrets and mount the necessarygear to turn them into agricultural tractors, and that some farmers used them like this. It would be cool to get some backup on that though.
Oh yes, and I would love to drive this thing around school on our sidewalks that go everywhere, or drive it to ROTC PT across town…showing up in a tank might make up for my lack of doing millions of pushups…

That place was great when it was on LI, He had one Whole wall of the Museum was M1919A4 Brownings from floor to ceiling.
Did a Google search and came up with a link to the vids… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlUbZhsxcWI
Holy crap, I want that in Tiger form. Although, in 2/5th the Tiger would be about 9 feet long. A potato gun in that beast would be sweet, although a potato is a little big for a 2/5 scale sherman round.
Oh shoot…I forgot to add the link…duh…well you guys figured it out…
there have been some reenactors that have made reproduction KFZ 222s out of rear engined VW bus chassis
Is that what the original’s chassis was made from?
If you go to the home page and click on the PzIV pic, you’ll seeone of the original War of the Worlds special effects Martian war machines hanging from the ceiling. Story was, the owner was on vacation and a local guy and museum supporter had access to one and donated it to the museum since the owner was a fan of the movie.
