THE OFFICIAL IN THE BUFF B52 GROUP BUILD

Allen:

The ‘Gadget’ and assorted aircraft parts are ingressing, via airmail, bi-plane, that is, probably about 10 days.[whstl]

Dom

Please daddy,

please daddy,

awwww please daddy,

can’t we take just one of them home,

puulllleeeeezzzzzz?

The bombs were double fuzed if possible. One on the nose and one in the tail. The tail fins were a separate assembly that bolted onto the bomb body. There is an access panel on the tail fin assembly to allow access to the tail fuse. That is probably what Verlinden was trying to show. It really should be flush with the rest of the tail fin. Sounds like you need to sand them all flush!

When my Dad retired from the USAF, we lived in Tucson. Our house was in the overhead pattern for Davis-Monthan AFB and the MASDC/AMARC fence was only about 200 yards away. I got to see lots of neat aircraft over the years.

Dom,

I’ll mail your decals in the morning if I can overcome the sleep monster. Working midnights can be drag!

AWWWWW,

THANKS A LOT!!![:@][8o|]

I was afraid that’s what it was,…lol…

Dom

Yeh Jim, roger that.

Last night woke up, wide awake, 2:00 a.m., only thing missing

was my time punch card…

No worries, I won’t be needing them for at least a few minutes…lol

Send 'em when it’s convenient, let me cover the postage if it’s 'spensive.

That looks awesome! I have to wonder though, where are the landing gear doors? I can’t see them. Also, are the windows still masked? That seems like some awful deep tinting if they are.

That BUFF looks awesome with turbofans; very different! Thanks for posting such a unique and incredible looking model!

Duke, Gear doors are now on. When I sent those to Russ I wasnt quite done yet. I have a pic of the finished model on Flickr. Will try a post here

Hi Allen,

Dom

Hi, All,

In my relentless quest for a diagram and/or pictures of Section 47 of a B-52D bomber, I came across this site that appears to be a good source of aircraft and spacecraft structrual drawings and photos.

www.up-ship.com/…/drawndocair.htm

If any of you have come across an internal structrual drawing or or internal pictures of the 47 section (the section behind the aft landing gears) of a B-52D, please let me know where you found it.

Many thanks,

Russ

Count me in with the Monogram bird, have built a couple of those over the years and they’re fun to build. Must first finish up with the FW-190 group build.

Scott

Dom

Your decals are on their way.

Russ

Let me look in my T.O.s and see if I can come up with.

Scott

Welcome to the fray!

Hi Scott, and welcome to the build![snWcm]

No Rush on the start, I’ll check out your FW-190,

Dom

Hey, Guys,

Any of you have a copy of the B-52 Walk Around book? I’m considering buying one but only if it has shots of the inside of the 47 Section.

Thanks,

Russ
