The new year

2015 is almost here how about a look at 2014 in review. Opinions about some of the new kits that were released or announced to be released and then also let’s take a look at 2015 at what we hope the model company’s will release.

Bronco’s line of Jeep release 's and the announcement of the Horsa glider are my top picks for best released or to be released. Some of the 1/24 scale civilian cars I’m not to sure about. For 2015 I’m hoping some larger scale 1/24 and 1/16 scale ww2 truck’s and tanks will be released.

In the end we all know it all comes down to money, what the modeler can afford to spend on a kit and what a model company can make on a kit. 2014 had a lot of interesting kits, figures, and detail sets released in plastic, resin and P.E . 2015 should be even more interesting as manufacturer’s push for more detail in their product…

Happy Thanks Giving to all.

I’m hoping for USS Midway CV-41 as commissioned in 1:350, and a new mold F-106A and B with engraved panel lines in 1/72. Kudos to Trumpeter for their Six in 1/48!

One of my main areas of interest, modern US armor, we had several new kits released, Dragon’s M48 and M103, both of which were second issues of previously released kits. Their odd choice, but well received Kpz 70 is a nice kit and there have been a plethora of current mine resistant vehicles that were well done. Revell also released new M48 kits and some German vehicles.

It’s been a good year for modern armor modelers.

I’m with Rob on the post WWII armor releases. Trumpeter has been running wild with all the Soviet Cold War AFVs I have been wanting for ages. Although most are out of my price range due to my current financial limits, it’s nice to know those kits are out there. And I am looking forward to the Dragon Black Label Saladin.

Would like to see a new release of the Enterprise (CV6) in 1/350. Long past overdue IMO

WW1 and Japanese armor/artillery. 1/350 WWII cruisers, all nationalities.

Edit, how about some Coast Guard cutters as well. Not the pre war stuff, I’m talkin the newer stuff, 210, 378, Sentinel Class fast response cutter, the National Security Cutter, Etc.

Since all my Armor modeling dreams have come true, I am looking for a new 1/24 scale AMX Javelin SST model. The prices for them are ridiculous on ebay!
