Can anyone tell me about the new 1/35 Timiya Leopard tank. I saw it in my hobby store once and I want to know more about this kit. Thanks a lot.[:)]
Same as their Leopard 2A5 with a new barrel and a set of clear parts. Looks nice, I’ve got both.
Here is some pics of the 2A5
The 2A6 comes with the 120 mm barrel and clear parts for goggles and two new figures. The 2A5 was flawless if you ask me awesome kit 2A6 is out of price range at the moment.
Beautiful kit, but it’s not a subject that interests me.
my guess is its a beautyful kit, I haven’t tried it but all of the new kits from Tamiya are allmost 100% perfect. I would wait a while before buying it, its way to expensive right now.
I know that it is expensive it is $53.00 at my hobby shop. Still I’am looking forward to buying one in the future even though I like WWII armor.
It looks very nice and sells at 30 US$ here in Manila.
Were is Manila?
Manila is in the Phillipines, which is a large nation in the Pacific Ocean. The largest naval battle in history was fought around the Phillipines, between the United States of America and the Empire of Japan. The United States won, largely due to possessing and ably employing large numbers of these objects:
Go ahead and rub the price difference in, Dwight. [(-D]
Its £35.99 here in England

Oh Larry, you are killing me. LOL.
T-34:
BTW, the Philippines is not really a large nation…but Larry’s right about it being the location of the biggest naval battle in history.
And sorry for not so clear in my post about the price. It sells here in Manila for US$30. Sounds cheap, right? For those who live in the US and Europe…Yes but for locals here…NO! US30$ is equivalent to a week’s wages of a common worker.
There I think I made it clearer, now. He-he-he.
Don’t be modest! at around 85,000,000 it’s population is larger than any European country (not counting Russia, but Russia doesn’t count [;)]). And geographically it is quite large too.
Well, there is always that.
Maybe Dwight was using GDP as his gauge of how large of a country The Phillipines is in which case he would be right. It’s the only East Asian nation that didn’t experience rapid economic growth during the latter part of the 20th Century thanks to that kleptomaniac Marcos.
Actually as far as land area is concerned, the Philippines is not that large with a rank of 72 in land area compared to other countries in the world. Our neighbors like Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Japan and Australia have much bigger land area than ours.
As far as GDP and population are concerned, however. I can only say one thing:
It seems that we don’t know much about making money but we sure do know how to make babies. He-he-he.
Well I guess I should move to the Philipines or wait for the price to go down.
Thanks for the discution guys.
T-34:
I have seen many tourists buying loads of kits in the LHS here. I guess they are finding the price too good to resist. Hmmmm. Maybe it’s a good come on to visit the Philippines:
italeri has a nicely detailed version;might even be cheaper $$$wise
$43.20 at Great Models, and it’s even in stock!
And killer babes! It’s amazing how many of the Philipino girls I grew up with or knew were to-die-for. Hmmm, maybe those two are related … [;)]
BTW, the senior vice president and department head of loan syndications at the bank where I work, whom I occasionally give legal advice to, is from the Phillipines. And he sure knows a lot about making money. [8D]
