I was wanting to do a PBJ-1 Mitchell and was wanting to know the differences between the marine/navy version and the army air corp. I haven’t seen any 1/48 scale kits out yet but I hear accurate miniatures has one in the works. Any help would be appreciated!

From what I understand, they were largely identical, and the main differences were “aftermarket” bits such as radar pods.
Lone Star Models makes nose and wingtip radar pods for the PBJ.
Accurate Miniatures has had that PBJ-1 listed forever and God knows when it gonna actually come out
I did see someone build a PBJ using Accurate Miniatures B-25C or D…heres the link:

I don’t claim to be a wealth of knowledge on the differences, but I bet you could make a great looking PBJ out of the Monogram “J” kit with very little work. Don’t let the (gasp) raised panel lines scare you- it’s a truly great kit.
I think the major difference was that the Navy painted `em blue…basically the same A/C as the green ones!
