The last 190D-9 is done to complete the set

As in last in this set… I am guessing not likely MY last D-9.[:-^][;)]

I never thought I would see the day… but the set is now complete.

Here is the last install in the series of “Gelbe 6” in all scales. This is the Revell of Germany 1/32 Fw190D-9. And for a change, I did NOT have to do the big tail conversion myself. MM enamels, Eduard pit details and flaps and Quickboost exhaust. Pastel wash and post shading. Mostly kit deals… 6 & | are from an AM “Assi” Han sheet, just had to flip the 9 over, and the tail markings and Werke # are home printed.

Comments, critisism and questions always welcome. Thanks for looking.

As soon as I find a backdrop big enough… I will get all 5 together

She looks outstanding. The underbelly and cockpit detail is very well done. Hope to see 'em all together soon!

Andy

And yet another OUTSTANDING Build form Wing.

And I can’t wait to see them all togather

Bud

Beautifully finished, Marc! You have quite a nice collection now.

Mark

Andy, Bud Mark… thanks very much.

Very nice build Marc. Well Done [tup][tup].

Regards, Rick

She looks great Marc, another outstanding D-9.

owww I wish I was that good! great job! ,david

Awesome, Marc, simply awesome. Like Andy said, it would be nice to see the “Family Portrait”. I’m scouring the pics for more tips and pointers. The underside scheme and overall subtle weathering give this realism. Outstanding, my friend.

Out of curiosity, what is the reason for the particular marking (Yellow 6)?

Well done wing nut, I think you did a better job on the panel line shading on the sides than I did It gave me a little trouble. that pale green is hard to weather and not over state it but still give it a worn look.

Outstanding build, Marc! The finish is flawless, and I really like the way the office turned out, too. Did you use Alclad II for underneath? Looks awesome! [tup]

Very nice. That is one beautiful build.

hummm…still seems strange …seeing you post FW pics…But I like it.[dinner]

Beautifully done! Your skill with FW-190’s is impressive.

Awesome, Simply awesome.

Thank you all for your kind remarks, it is appreciated.

mucker-When I did the 1st one in 1/48 it was the overall scheme that caught my eye… the blue/green color, and NMF underside just seemed interesting. When I did the 1/24 I wanted to get the big tail conversion right, so decided to do the same marking… and the demon seed was planted and the obsession grew. Plus from one researcher’s info, if he was correct in his assumptions, it was a rare bird in that only a few D-9s had the big tail added.

Ruddratt-That is MM Metalizer aluminum plate. Since it was sprayed last, I did not have t worry about any masking problem due to it being somewhat fragile.

Beautiful build…I really admire the paint job-superb.[tup][bow]

Marc,

I have always been told that practice makes perfect, and by the looks of your latest Dora, you have had plenty of practice. That one looks great!! I love the RoG Dora, very good kit and at a good price as well. I appreciate that it gives you the big tail option unlike most.

Thanks for sharing,

Matt

Darren, Matt… thanks very much.

Matt…I couldn’t agree more. That is a great kit. As I was making all the folds for the flaps, I was recalling your 'Black 6" for the Dora GB. Tedious but a nice addition to a nice kit.

Marc,

Yep the flaps are an exercise in patience, but well worth the effort! Thanks for the kind thoughts on my black 6!!!
