Thanks, guys…hope the base catches up with the KT soon…I like the look off the King with the 2 story in the background…sorta gives some scale to the “beast”…darn these things were BIG…
…so far the plan is to have a couple of veteran heavy-tankers out in front of the KT planning some mischief, with a grenadier in the background (on the sidewalk) holding an MP44, doing his best bad#ss impersonation…
I still remember the first (and still the only) KT I’ve ever seen. It made the hair stand up on the back of my neck! That track would make anybody faceing it put on a pair of Depends!
Great question…I gotta say that the decal sheet with this kit was one of the nicest I’ve seen in a kit in a looong time…there were several very colorful markings and the decal quality was good…I just happened to use one of the less “colorful” choices…a gloss finish, plenty of decal solvent, patience and a toothpick coaxed the decals down into the zimm grooves…sometimes you might even need to cut them a little w/ an x-acto to settle them down…
Awesome KingTiger Manny that paint scheme is spot on as is the weathering when i first saw pics of the molded on zim i thought it looked too heavy but seeing it painted up like this has changed my opinion it looks great, i look forward to the finished dio.
Okay, due to popular demand…trouble is, where should she go in the dio???[%-)]
Option 1 - In the bombed out building, trapped on the upper floor in a tub…
Or…Option 2 - On the Tiger itself, enjoying a bath as the crew pores over maps for the next day’s battle… I’ll let you guys decide, let me know which option you prefer…
How about upstairs and the “krauts” forgetting their map and looking up to the window in hopes of a glimpes. Just an idea. I mean who could look at a map when that was nereby!?
