Marc, I think that sounds like a good idea. I intend to do a plane that looks like it’s beeing used, but if I manage, that’s a whole other story, yet to be told [:)]

I can’t believe how fast Raptor’s raptor is coming together!!! Wow.
Are you planning to build any other kits when you finish? Last year,
we kept the option open to continue building the next highest voted
kit in your stash. I think Paul_toz built the most kits for IMS1: four!
I found a rather small detail on the B-58 that is going to cause a major
diversion in the build process. The real B-58 has two small triangular
windows above the pilot’s head, as visible in the first image below.
My Lindberg kit, however, does not. My plan is to use the canopy
hatch shown in the second image as a mold to vacuform a piece of
transparent styrene over it. Then I can paint everything except the
missing windows. This will be my first attempt at vacuforming a part,
I will try to photograph the process. Wish me luck!
Good luck with the vacforming. I would be interested to see how it goes for you. It would be a good way to replace complete canopies on a couple of really old Airifx kits I have where the canopy is so thick you can barely see through it!
I think Doomgrr is the one who has the most kit builds for IMS1 - not me. Doomgrr did 4, I only did 2. I’m hoping to do 2 again this time, but in half the time!!

IL2, I recently built my own vac box and tested it out. It’s really very simple and easy to do. Let me know if you need any help.
Paul, I hear you about those airfix canopies! [xx(] I have a few I just might do that for too.
Thanks Il2 I hope that your B-58 will come out well. I think that would be fun yes I will build more but all of them are ties… I can just choose right?
IL, good luck on that endeavor! By the way, have I told you you’re crazy? With my fumbly fingers I’d never get that to work.
Raptor, I’d say yes just pick your next from the two ties. No more voting until the next IMS, please! [:D]
good luck sir il i m sure you will do fine
and agreed no more voting till ims3 : the threepeat lol
Kenny You get the Devil’s advocate award for posting #666 [}:)]

Progress. progress! WE HAVE PROGRESS!!!. The circles you see in the office pic below i’m haveing a hard time figuring out the colors for. Any one have an idea? Who wants to sand theses seams for me???
Egads! That thing has more seams than it does parts that fit flush…yowch. [xx(]
Just tracked my Squadron order, should have some swanky MiG-21 upgrades in my hands today! [:-,] Muahahahhaha!
Nice progress, Mist. If you don’t have an answer to your color question by this evening, I have some A-10 references at home I can dig into.
Nice progress Mist! It seams you got some work to do! [:)]

He’ll be here till Thursday, folks. Be sure to tip your waiter and try the veal.
Hey Mist, why is she called a warthog? You sure are making her look pretty. [:I]
Good work and good luck with the seams.[:)]
I see it is a Revell kit, the leader in seam technology,[banghead] it probably has raised panel lines too.[banghead] At the HobbyCon in Chicago last year I asked the Revell vendor why thier kits have raised panel lines. [?]
His answer; Quote: “cause we’re stupid”[#wstupid]
Tony
All the above Tony. Trying to sand a seam without destroying my panel lines![censored] pain in the BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
