I haven’t posted on this forum in a while (anybody missed me?! [:(DD]), but I hope you’ll welcome my post anyway…
I’m more of an armour fan, but I went to the farmbrough airshow yesterday, and altought I’ve seen them before once or twice, the Red Arrow display absoloutley stole my heart. I’ve moddeled a Hawk before in the Red Arrow scheme, ( 1/ 72 Airfix i believe), but it got me thinking, and I really want to build another one… or eight.
Anyway, this was jsut kinda a little blurb I wanted to post out.
And if any of you other guys went to the Airshow, or have pics (either of the show or Hawks) feel free to post them and discuss… stuff I guess [:D]
I wasn’t luck enough to see them there, but I have seen them a good few times in the past - like you say, the are, well - Glorious. My better half managed to get a pic of them with the Vulcan last year;
Nice picture. They had the Vulcan here this year too, and it was LOUD. I love it. however, when the Arrows weren’t flying, they had them off by a hanger on the other side of the feild, so you couldn’t go up to them and gawk. They had two other Hawks on display, but one was black, and the other was red, white, and blue. No traditional red schemes.
I’ll post some pictures when I upload them onto the computer. Might be a while though. Thanks for posting.
