Here are 3 pics of my first model built about 2 years ago… learned a lot in the time since and have gotten a lot of helpful hints from this forum… So now I want to “revisit” this Sherman and improve it… Any suggestions you guys have? I need to replace my missing decals on the one side and weather the tracks and tone down the lenses on the binoculars, but anything else you guys could suggest would be great… sorry about some of the quality on these pics…
Looks great to me. But not seeing it in person hard to tell. weathering looks good, As you said a little work on the tracks maybe. and possibly some DullCoat. Don’t think you need to go to crazy with it, Looks good as is.
Like I said not seeing the model firsthand, Can’t be sure, If you are happy with the finish, leave it alone. All DullCoat will do it tone down any shine.
Again don’t do too much, If you want to work on the tracks,That won’t be too much as you can’t see much, Just be careful you don’t mess up what you have. There will be others later on come on that will be able to help more. Hang in there HELP is on the way[:D]
Looks like a little dust on the track and a shot of dull coat will be fine. Hard to tell from the pics, but they look cleaner than the tank itself. THe rest looks real nice. Drill out those binoculars yet?
OMG, it’s all wrong. You must dip it all in a bucket of brake fluid, completely strip the paint, take what you can all apart, and start over.
Just kidding Tankergeoff [(-D][BG] Have a burger and don’t worry about it. Do the things you said and call it finished. Might also want to dull down the shiney part in the front with a light mist of buff or whatever.
thanks for the comments/advice everyone… Marion, good idea. I plan on doing another Sherman as soon as I can get rid of at least half of the 350 group builds i am in… [banghead]
