RAF COLTISHALL AND THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN 65th ANNIVERSARY
To celebrate the 65th Anniversaries of both Royal Air Force Coltishall and the Battle of Britain there will be a number of events being held at the Station over the weekend 16 – 18 September 2005.
Whilst the Families Day on Saturday 17 September will be strictly for RAF Coltishall families and guests, I have been authorised to organise a Photocall for enthusiasts on Friday 16 September between 1030 – 1800.
It would be remiss of me to promise aircraft types etc, apart from our Jaguars of course. However, invitations have been sent to all those countries who have been involved with RAF Coltishall in the past, including the Polish Air Force who have been regular visitors since 2000.
This years event will be conducted in a similar manner to the Jaguar 25th Anniversary and RAF Coltishall’s 60th Anniversary Photocall in 1998 and 2000 respectively where visitors were given as much freedom and access to the aircraft as was possible within the safety parameters in force at that time. Drinks and refreshments will also be available throughout the day as will Jaguar and squadron memorabilia etc.
Tickets for this event will be £15-00; cheques, made payable to ‘SFAS RAF Coltishall’, will be available with a SAE from the following address:

This will be the last such event to be held at RAF Coltishall prior to the Station closing next year, and as such we expect considerable interest. Therefore, tickets will be issued on a strict first-come, first-served basis.
