Bakster: Did you have to put her away for awhile? I hope everything is okay there on the gold truck front. I’m really jonesing for an update!
Maybe still recovering from the lost but not really lost oil filter detail part?
Or maybe it’s the embarrassment, shame, and public humiliation of it all?
[:P]
Edit: forgot to mention, I’m missing the updates, too.
Hey Cliff, sorry buddy, yeah… the project is sidelined. Life has been too hectic. Keeping the glue flowing in my veins, I started an out of the box build. Well, mostly it is. There will always be some mods. I wanted to work on something less demanding, so I started an ICM Model T 1913 Speedster. The kit is nicely molded and for the most part, well designed. I am enjoying the break from this project. Once this is done, I will go back to working on the Bullion Express, hopefully. That’s if things don’t get worse.
Lol. You know Greg, that thread was missing a bone headed tale of Greg. There must be some sort of bone headed thing you did. Perhaps, your list is too long? Lol.[;)]
You pretty much hit the nail on the head, there, Stevie. [;)]
Well then you are in good company. [:S]
Thinking of you Bako.
Just a “bump” to keep this project from falling to page Two .
…

( I had a few spare parts left over from another project … you can have em…)
Edit: apperently finescale doesn’t like outside sourcing of emoticons …
You will just have to imagine the skeletal images I posted.
Dang it, Timmy, here I thought Dr Doom had resurfaced and it’s just a “bump.” Sigh.
Now that cracks me up, Capn. This is the first time I laughed in days.
Dr Doom says this: If you saw what I endured this weekend you’d say, Dang, that poor basxxxx really IS Dr Doom. The onslaught keeps coming.
One of these days the worm has to turn, and Dr Doom will be back, in his full Bullion glory. I have not given up on this project; I have some bullion to mine. [:S]
Thanks for the laugh, I miss you guys.
Thanks for not giving up on a me, Timmy.
Yeah. I tried posting a skeleton image early on in this thread. They have a block on skeletons or something. I was bummed because he was to be my mascot for this build.
Dr Doom.
Hope things calm down and you can get back to this Bakster. Love the idea and really want to see where you’re going with it.
Awhoo!!!
Now that is some fine lighting, my friend!!
You’re working on one of these?
That should be a fun build. Got a thread for it?
Hey thanks, Cliff. That makes two of us.
Hey Joe, yes, that is the one. I thought it would be an easy build, and in many ways it is. But, I am a bit rusty with car builds. Particlulary, in getting the finish I want. I spent a lot of time trying to get what I wanted. Too much time if you ask me.
This is my first car model in over, jeez, 40 years. Man, I can’t believe it’s been that long. I seem to be migrating towards car models again. I have picked up several kits over the last few years. Heck, I just ordered some of Donn Yosts DVDs too.
No I didn’t start a thread. I have been documenting it, so I could. I’d say I am near 2/3rds done with the model.
Lol. Thanks TB!
I tend to use alot of Donn Yosts ideas in my airbrushing these days and that’s definitely a step in the right direction picking up his DVD’s. Dude’s got alot of good advice.
Hey! That looks just like my first car! LOL, LOL.
I have folks accuse me of being around when these were here. Maybe my Grandparents, Hmmm? I love the sheer fun in building this type of auto. Any plastic for Floors and Firewalls gets replaced with Basswood.
Hey! Good question, If they face planted against a tree, who did they sue. What? no Seatbelts? Or airbags, except the wind in yer face! Thirty miles an hour? You are out of your mind!
About that time or a little earlier the Fiat Mephistophle Clocked 146 in the straight mile! Unbelieveable, right?
I keep trying cars and getting horrible orange peel on them and putting them back in the box. One day I’ll get a decent looking gloss finish- one day…
