The battle of the Bulge ( Ardennes ) GB Start Nov. 2005 - called off

Hi guys, after some talking ( below ) I was wondering if anyone would be interested if it started in Nov. and ended ( to be decided ). It would be open to all scales and types, armor, air and figures.

I am new to owning a GB so if I forgot to say something let me know.
I am not sure of a group badge, but if this works out, I’m sure someone will come up with one.

I came up with this as a possible GB--

Rules:

  1. Have fun
  2. Must be used in the Battle of the Bulge ( Ardennes 1944 )
  3. Can’t use previously built tanks/planes unless doing a dio
  4. Any scale
  5. Can be armour, aircraft, or figures.

Yeah because I think they finished? If they didn’t then the cutoff is soon.

the cutoff for that build is may. I say wait off on this one and maybe try a little later, maybe this summer or fall.

im not a big ardennes buff, if they used air planes,What airplanes did they use?

Nick to answer your questions:
Some of the types of aircraft used during the Ardennes offensive were Typhoon, Tempest, Spitfire, P-51 P-47, Fw-180, Bf-109, Me-262 etc, etc. Do a google on Ardennes or Operation Bodenplatte (baseplate) which occurred on new years day in 1945.
Yes Bastogne was very much part of the Ardennes offensive and involved the heroic defense of the town by the surrounded and outnumbered 101st Airborne division.

Anthony, I’m going through a real Ardennes “phase” at the moment (in fact I was thinking of hosting this GB myself), but I’m also up to my bottom lip in other group builds. Put me down as a definite maybe, but I was looking for something either late this year or early next.
