On Saturday I posted a gripe about how hard it was to get a ProModeler 1/48 A-26B, and how much it went for on ebay and so on and so forth. Today I decided to stop by the LHS, the one that I have been in so many times before and no, they do not have that kit. Today I walked in and they asked me friendly if I needed help findidng anything and usually I say “I’m fine, thanks”, and since I know every inch of the store I really don’t need any help finding anything. But today I thought “what the heck”, and started telling them what I was looking for. Once they got the picture of what I wanted-- the solid nose not the glassed, one of the guys went away and as I was still chatting with the other fellow I saw the A-26B Invader make a gentle landing on the counter!!! Still in disbelief I lifted the box looking for the sticker and there it was-- $29.95, so I calmly got my wallet out and as they were musing that , "hey wasn’t that the kit that so and so just brought in last night, and how strange that it all was (the kit is OOP), I quietly paid the thirty bucks and walked out with a big smile.
Now, if only the Angel of the Lottery was reading this forum…the company I work for lost the bid and is closing doors, and I really want to get out of driving and get into Collins College graphic design program…[:I]
