That has the same markings! But Fred Meyers only sold Monogram or Revell kits in my area. I definitely remember the Monogram logo on the box. Wait… Revell??

Until Hasegawa released their Hellcats in the 90’s, the main 1/48 F6F kits were by Monogram, Fujimi, Lindberg, and Otaki/ARII. Perhaps Aurora did one also, but I never saw one…

Glencoe kits are usually re pops of somebody else’s old molds. ITC, Aurora, etc…

Monogram did the F3F in 1/32 a few years after the survey. Hasegawa did the 1/32 P-26, as well as the P-12 and F4B in the early 70’s. Hobbycraft did a 1/48 P-26 in the 90’s.

I was just thinking in regards to the 3 Monogram kits, you are correct that in other scales they were done. This era is actually an exception to my scale snobery. I would like to build each of the major US single engine fighters of the 1930s in 1/32 and I think I actually can (have been kitted anyway, skills as usual may be an issue).
