Just a thanks to all out there for the help in finding the Hetzer and acc.The kindness was greatly appreciated.Hopefully I can reciprocate in the future!!Thanks again all!!! [:D][:D][:D]
So what did you get? Inquiring minds want to know.
remember, you must post pictures. Or else the FSM police will come knocking…
Aw schucks pilgrim, it weren’t nothin. Welcome to the forums, looking forward too seeing some of your work down the road. Semper Fi, mike
I picked up 2 kits. The DML Command and FlamPanzer(sp). If I could have I would’ve bought all of tem out there!I also checked the other sites for acc. but have to let the credit cards cool off for awhile!!!Right now I’m finishing the paint job on an Ital. Puma and started into that Marder that Eric so beautifully finished.Photos may be awhile till I get a decent DIGITAL and figure out how to post.
Good for you Andy. How is the buildup on the Puma, those are nice looking vehicles. I know Italeri can be hit or miss sometimes. Cool, 2 Hetzers. We look forward to pics.
Could’nt have found them without the forum. The Puma went together pretty well. The Italeri kit could use more detail, but it’s a fun vehicle and I’m “brushing up” on my airbrushing.I started the green blotches on for a tri-color scheme.Gotta work on my mix ratio & p.s.i for the detail stuff.Got a couple of heavy spots, but plan on cleaning them up with the red-brown out-ling and touch-up with basecoat. It really has been awhile since I was as excited ,and enjoying building.I’m sure the rust will come off my skills pretty quick.I’ve only done three full kits[ Pz.IV,M.18 and P.51B] plus acouple I started and put away to finish after I rebuild my skills alittle.A couple kits quality and fit were so bad they would take more effort than I’m willing to invest right now. I won’t mention any brands[Maq.-Mono!]but they were disappointing.
It’s always a learning process Andy. I built off and on for 30 years, always more to learn. Glad to hear the Puma isn’t too tough, it might make my stash someday. I like Italeri, but they can be finicky sometimes.
Yea, it is kind of a sparse kit, but the fit was pretty good. Some of the part location marks were missing, but it was still pretty straightforward.Hey, I’ve got a transplanted nephew out there in Payallup.Anywhere close to you? He’s diggin’ it.Won’t even consider moving back to the “flatlands”.
