Testors YF-22 1/32

What is the quality of the Testors 1/32 YF-22? I would be very pleased if someone showed a photo of one already built.

many years before i bought it…by far the worst kit i have ever had…stay away from it

HIOI,
The YF-22 is a big kit. I have it and built it. Don’t be gunshy. Give it a shot. Make sure that you dry fit it to see where the fit problems are. Put the nose antenna on last so that it does not get broke. Mine did. It is in storage…still in the packing box. Give the kit a chance. There are people to help you. Once done it is a cool looking kit.

I already got one.I’m almost done but , I have to wait a week to finish it because the canopy broke.I found that it had holes in the AIM-120 and the rudder wing.

To me all testors kits are bad, they need to just stick to paint glue and other things a modeler needs for modeling.

HIOI: I have this kit let me say when i started to build it nothing fitted right, the front portion of the kit which is the forward fuselage the plastic was paper thin so i had to rebuild it entirely i wrote a 2 page e-mail to testors, they offered to sendme another kit i declined there offer, 2 months later the kit was 90% finished. I later added a radar and avionics bay which was later added to the real YF-22 during flight testing.

Testors = paint and supplies. Testors kits = [banghead] Good luck with your build!
