what is the best thinner to use for testors model master acrylic paints? Right now I am using Isopropyl alcohol and not getting the finish that I was hoping for.
I don’t know what is the best but I’ve used Tamiya X20A, Windshield washer fluid and a 'home brew" acrylic thinner from a formula I found on the web. Never used just isopropyl alcohol. Model Master acrylic thinner should work just fine.
I used lacquer thinner from Home Depot on one of my last builds and it worked really good.
I use the Testors’ Universal Acrylic Thinner
I have used their own acrylic thinner, but last build I tried Mr. Leveler lacquer thinner and it worked like magic

Model Master’s Acryl paints? I’ve been using distilled water for a thinner, with no issues.
I made a home brew 90% alcolol + windex mix about 1:4 ratio and it does just fine.
