I’m looking for a compressor so I can start airbrushing. has anyone had any experience using this testors “blue mini” compressor? any feed back would be great. Thanks fellas and happy modeling.

Welcome to the forum.
It is a lot of money for very “little” compressor, low power and no control. But it can work ok with the right airbrush and properly thinned paints. There are better choices for less money. Search the term “Testors” and “compressor” for more user experiences on this forum.

It would be a decent compressor for 1/4 the price.
I have a knock-off of the Blue Mini that I use for airbrushing… It works ok for the amount of ABing that I do… You’ll likely have to thin the paint a bit more than you’re used to, and it builds up pressure in the hose, which causes it to drop mid pass… Given that it’s non-regulated, you’ll have to thin the paint more, make more passes, and open the fluid-control more than you would with a regulated compressor…
Like I said, it works fine, it’s just that you’ll have to learn its quirks…

I used a Testors Mini-Blue compressor with an Aztec airbrush for many many years, and basically learned with those tools. Personally, if you can find one used (send me e-mail I may want to get rid of mine) its worth it to learn with and use for a year or two, until you find your skills progressing enough to warrant a hobby air compressor.
