Testors 1/48 scale F4G/F Phantom II"wild weasel"

Hello.Today I went to my uncles house in San Jose.We went to a hobby shop,And I bought a 1/72 scale hasagawa corsair, and he bought a Testors 1/48 scale F4G/F Phantom II,and gave it to me.I want to build this kit and give it to him.He refuelled F4’s in Vietnam for the Marines in 1967-1968?..dont know exactly when but…I really want to do a good job on this,so any help or advice on this kit is appreciated.

Suggestions: I don’t know if the F-4G was used in Vietnam. I he refuled Marine Phantoms, it was probably an F-4J.

I would reccomend the Hasegawa F-4J kit in 1/48th scale. Excellent kit and easy to assemble.

Definitely, the Hase kit is the superior kit.

The Marines in 1967 and 1968 were flying F-4B and F-4J aircraft. The USAF F-4G didn’t arrive in the inventory until mid 1970s. When you say that your uncle refueled F-4s in Viet Nam, are you referring to ground refueling by maintenance personnel or air to air refueling. Air to air could be from USAF KC-135s or Marine KC-130s or Navy A-3D Skywarriors.
