I found this kit in my LHS’s bargain bin for 6 bucks! I know it is a re-issue of the old hawk molds. Alot of work went into this non-fitting gap galore kit. Besides contending with the gap issues the only other major work was building a simple cockpit to replace the non-existant one in the kit. Accuracy was not my concern while building this, more so to practice some techniques I learned here on seam and gap filling. Overall I am happy with the way it turned out. [:D]
Nice job! Looks very seamless to me!
Nice work on that old kit! Any photos of your cockpit work?
Cool bird from the early days of jet-propelled Navy planes! I love it!! Thanks for showing that to us.[Y]

Great job! And it looks like you did a good job on getting read of the seams… What kit did you use?
At one time, and probably still do, the U.S.S. Lexington has a Banshee displayed on their flight deck. It always suprises me at just how low they sat to the ground. Awesome bird! Love em’. Thanks for sharing, Raymond
Oh man! If I saw that kit at my local hobby shop, I’d snap it up in two shakes of a lamb’s tail! I remember building this kit back in the late '80s. As you said, it’s pretty spartan in most regards but you still end up with a nice looking Banshee in the end.
Great job on your build!
Eric
Very nice work on this kit!

Always liked the look of that plane.
Thanks all, I will upload the shots of the cockpit I built, it is nothing extravagant. It was just to fill a void.
Well done!
