I have read so much about how good the Tecknic R-200 is, how does the aires kit, compare to the tecknic? Where can the tecknic’s kit be purchased at? Thanks
I was’nt that impressed with it, I think folks are grabbed by the intracacy of the kit. It’s rocker gear looks more like a wright cyclone’s, cylinder jugs are the wrong shape and like all 2800s it just stops at the intake manifold no carbeurator, no exaust, no accesory drive, it just stops. It’s most frustrating to me as I have yet to see a decent Pratt in any kit. For my Trump 1/32 corsair I’ll use Teknic’s magneto case with trumps cylinders and scratchbuild the supercharger, carb and accesories. I hav’nt seen aires so I can’t comment on it.
