It looks very nice mate. Breat paint job on the interior. Thanks for the pics.
Your too kind, thank you Sir.
Nice work. I especially like the touch of painting the interior green framing on the inside of the turret.
Looking good at this point. Hope to see the finished bird.
Regards, Rick
Very nice job! I am a fan of all the Pacific Navy birds…and despite having an affinity for a certain dive bomber, the Avenger is up there! Looking forward to seeing the finished bird soon…
Very nice work so far

Great looking detail, I wish mine was turning out like this.
Veeeeery nice!
Very nice color and detail on the interior Skarp.
Thanks for the WIP pics - they’re my favorite.
Chris
Thanks Guys y’all are all too kind.
Excellent work so far, Skarpotchi. I have this one coming in the mail. Any fit problems so far?
Dan
looks pretty good to me. nice work.

There was one problem, well at least for me. I was unclear as to where exactly the target site for the pilot went on the dash. I got the re-release version that comes in the all white box, with the confusing direction. If I put the site where it sits on the real ones the windshield would not fit…So I placed it as close as I could, it still looks off thou. Thanks for the reply y’all.
Over all interior looks great…!!! What methods did you use to weather the interior with.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Flaps up, Mike
Thank you Butz, and to answer your question…
I kinda cheated, I did not paint it exactly like the photo’s of the real ones.[:0]. I tryed to make sure there was color contrast, this kit interior is BEAUTIFUL. There is more detail in there than most after market sets. (Maybe). So I wanted to show it off, and thats where the color contrast came in. Also, I wanted to show off all the wires too. So I painted them black with thinned down black Tamiya. then later painted just the very top of the wire in whatever color. Then dark wash followed by lots of high lighted dry brushing, lots.
Coolish, thanks for the info. You learn something new every day…

Looks great man. I especially am fond of that Sader in your sig there, is that the Tamiya one?
Thanks woodbeck3, it’s the newer Hasa. kit. 1/48th.
Okay here some more pics of the AM TBM-3 1/48 W.I.P. The first two are old ones, and the last three are the newest. It’s about ready for the decals, I just finished the dark wash and hit it with some more future to clean up some orange peel areas. NOTE: I had some ugly scratches on the canope glass from removing some excess paint. The Future covered the scratches!!! Anyways after the decals I’ll put on the detail and alittle more weathering, and she’s done.
Thanks for looking.
