Okay, new addition are: meng merkave mk.3d, revell mil-24d hind, academy hughes 500d, academy ah-64a, italeri c-130j, hasegawa f-22, minicraft v-35 beech bonanza (needed the decals), and emhar f-94c (for replacement parts). After opening all the boxes and dry fitting ( i cant help it), i am most impressed by the meng merkave and the hasegawa f-22. I will build the hughes 500 this weekend, but I had a few questions: for the merkava, what is the best way to do the anti-skid? For the c-130 1/48, how much filling and sanding am I going to have to do ( I fear it may be a lot), and for the f-22, it comes with a clear and smoked canopy, but I see pics of it with a gold tint canopy. Which is the production? Thanks in advance.

I did build the F-22 I used the tinted just for the look.I got to tell you for all those parts,it is extremely well engineered,going together like butter,no fit issues for me at all,and very little seam cleanup.Have fun with your stash.

For anti-skid you can use texturized spray paint (Terra Cotta is what I’ve used). Just mask everything else!
Started the md500 and got to thinking… I did one of these in the 80’s that had the minigun. How effective was this weapon system because to me it seems it would be very difficult to lay down effective fire. Even if the gun was mounted on the side to oppose the rotor torque, i would think that the pilot would need at least 2 seconds to compensate for the recoil… And i am guessing that the bursts would be no more than 5 seconds. Was there some sort of mechanical device that automatically adjusted the torque pedal when the pilot pulled the trigger?
