Has anyone built this yet it looks really good PE parts and flash free crisp moldings even the barrel is hollowed out in one molded peice. Was wondering if there is any problems with it or comments on it.
Do you read Japanese? Anyway, I think it’s Japanese.

If you take a look around this guys website, he does some great work, but looking at the tasca kit, he made very few modifications. I think that means that it is a great model. Have fun with it!!
hope this helps…[:D]
This kit rivals the best Tamiya armour kits. What are you waiting for? Start building it!
It has working suspension too.
man, this guy is good. tamiyas T55: http://village.infoweb.ne.jp/~fwge2272/t55_1.html
from what I’ve read, even from Tamiya Mod Mag Int, it surpasses the best of tamiya kits. It’s supposed to be absolutely spectacular, with seamless fit, and unbelievable detail, considering it’s IM. The towing hooks even have the little holes moulded right in.
The only thing I see wrong with it is where there was injection marks on the tracks there is holes clear through the other sde the rest of the kit is indeed one of the best looking kits I havesee, pricey though try 46$ here but I got it on trade with a strumtiger ,jagdpanther, t34/76, IS 3M stalin and a steel wheeled panther G for some wingy thingies cant beat that.
That looks like one kool little kit , I have seen pics of the completed ones , and they look great ! The smaller german stuff is so much fun to build , I just about guarantee that they will become some of your favorite builds . This one is definately a must for me , it was just a recon tank , small and fast . my small tank is the DML tuach panzer III I did add AM details to it but very few , just tracks and barrel here , and just because I wanted to see both of these am parts . the details are very crisp stock . Let me know what you think about this kit , it was reviewed in a past FSM issue , they seemed to like it .
Wow, Ron! Sounds like you made a great trade! I’ve got a lot of wingey thingies I could/should trade off too, but can’t bring myself to do it.
Everything I’ve heard about Tasca kits is very good. Just a little pricey, and not as easy to find as Tamiya or DML.
Congrats on getting such a horde. Let us know how the build goes and keep those pics coming!!
I’ve seen and poked through this kit a couple of times and it looks really crisp. I think that Tasca is going to be one of the new players in the field and if they continue with this type of production detail and quality Mr. Tamiya may as well go back to fishing.
I think this is the new “High Tech” kits that were so frustrating in the past. But a result of a good learning curve.
To me, if they come out with a Striker vehicle they could pretty much sit back and relaxe, their place in heaven is assured.
Mike
ive read that the Tasca team used to work for Tamiya, so they should know what quality is
the kit looks very nice and all the reviews ive read say its great
ther releasing an early version soon with add on armour
From what I’ve heard the quality is very good, but who’s going to plunk down the bucks for it? Sure some diehards will, but if they want to play with the big boys i.e. Tamiya and Dragon, they’re going to have to reduce costs. I mean I’ll shell out $33 for the Dragon King Tiger as opposed to the $52 I’ve seen the Tasca kit go for. We’ll see how they hold up.
Reference also Platz. This seems to be closely related or the same company as Tasca.
I’m with you Tigerman. Though I guess you could justify the cost if you include time not spent correcting shortcommings of other kits and/or what one might spend on aftermarket add ons. Relatively speaking, if it saved you extra it would be worth the extra $15-$20.
Mike
I wanted to build that kit ever since FSM did a review on it. looks like a good kit. But i am not too experienced yet and didnt want to blow 50 bucks on a model that would turn out like[censored]
I’ll probably build it soon though, my skill is improving!
It’s such an easy build you can’t screw up on the build until you start painting it. But there’s no way to screw up painting a tanks.
I have never heard about Tasca before , but the kits looks great.
Are they available online??
Yes, I see them online. One of the mail order places has it for $44.00. After shipping it’s probably better to just get it from your LHS.
