great work on the dio
Very nice dio, most excellent. The new figure looks great, and much better. Waves come in different sizes, so I don’t know how they can be underscale, they look great, and much much better than I could do! LOL The beach area is fantastic, you have a awesome dio here!
Thank you guys…in August,21 It´ll be in a contest here in Brazil (city of Campinas/São Paulo State).
After that I´ll be posting the results…
Cheers
Excellent work Fabio.
super work!!! is that one guy wounded on his hand and still fighing?? he wouldnt go on the beach with a still bleeding hand but he probably says it just a flesh wound!! great work!!!
Thank you Zokissima and Double D
Nope, it’s a true story about the liberation of an American prisoner-of war camp in the Phillipeans in 1945.
Fabio, truely well done dio. After some of the corrections, you will have a show winner. Good luck.
Thank you Tigerman.
Dear friends, a correction…the name of this dio is “TARAWA - A LEGEND IS BORN”…
I´d made a mistake…I´m sorry…
Cheers
You’re right Tigerman- I realized that right after I wrote it.
The Great Raid is based on the book, Ghost Soldiers and it’s about a mission by US Army Rangers to liberate allied POW’s from a Japanese prison camp that is well behind enemy lines. I read the book several years ago and it was a great read…unfortunately, the critical reviews I’ve read so far have pretty much panned the movie.
Fabio, that is an incredible Dio. It really motivates me to try one of those. Your stretched sprue idea for the bullet splashes is simply inspired!
The change you made to the relaxed soldier is much better.
Thank you Duke, I´m happy to motivate you…good luck…
Cheers
Dear friends, in the last weekend this dio was awarded with the 2nd place (silver medal)

This is the 1st place, a dio of my colleague Carlos Café (one of the better diorama builder in Brazil)

Cheers, see you in my next dio…
Fabio Moretti
Excellent work! Thanks for sharing,
Darren.
Thank you Tango 1…
Hey, Fabio. I got here kind of late, but I would like to make a couple of suggestions.
The bullet impacts in the water should have some corresponding ones in the sand ( easier said than done ) and the boxes of supplies and wooden posts.
Also, I would expect the palm tree fronds would be somewhat shredded as opposed to lying undamaged on the sand.
Hope this helps. Your talent is beyond me, but maybe my ideas will help.
