Tankers at attention availability

Are there any figures available that would show an entire German tank crew (5) figures at attention, like during an inspection or awards ceremony. Early or late uniforms are not an issue as long as the crew looks as if it belongs together.

Im sure i have a set where they are all standing together minus 1 who is taking a photo? ill have a look.

Thank you!

The set is by Revell . 1/35 scale

Yes, but unfortunately, they’re hardly at ‘attention’ poses - they’re posed in front of a KV-2 that they’ve just knocked out:

The set was originally produced by ICM and, while not exactly up to Dragon standards, is nevertheless a good and inexpensive starting point for some decent figures.

Cheers,

Chris.

I was trying to help the guy out ,you dont have to get sarky.I know there not to attention but there the closest thing i knew relating to his request .Chillout.

Uh…dude, people who are being snarky don’t end their posts with “cheers” or use the term “not exactly” to describe your error. You need to develop thicker skin.

Not exactly trying to wind any one up just trying to help. CHEERS.

I just got the Panzertruppe set out of the stash, and it seem to me that two of the figures, the ones which are dressed in uniform jackets, would have the potential to be converted to the ‘stand easy’ position. Heels are apart, and poses are relaxed, so ‘attention’ and ‘stand at ease’ are not really viable. Even for ‘stand easy’, you’ll have to source alternative arms - particularly for one guy, who’s got one hand in his pocket, and the other holding a cigarette!

And in terms of anatomical accuracy, facial expression and uniform detail, if not equipment, they’re actually not too far off Dragon quality. Mine cost me £3.99 about five years ago.

I also had a fairly extensive search on the web last night, and couldn’t find any Panzertruppe figures at all in parade-ground poses.

Chris.

What I was thinking was a Dio called “Christmas Decorations” with the crew in front of their tank w/newly painted kill rings being decorated w/some of those PE Iron Crosses by an officer and an aide.

In that case, the senior officer and aide should be easy enough to find - in fact, I can think of at least one Dragon set that has suitable figures - but the crew figures would really need to be ‘at attention’, because that’s the pose you adopt when you’re given a medal.

The search continues. Promising idea for a diorama/ vignette, BTW.

Cheers,

Chris.

It’s off-topic, but when I have seen your posts, I have been intrigued by your avatar. Who is that/where is that picture from?

As far as the topic goes, I think Tamiya also had a Panzer crew set out at one time, with some figures that could be converted relatively easily to parade poses.

Thanks!

Brad

I think this is the set you’re referring to:

As you can see, with different arms, two of the figures could be converted to parade-ground poses without too much difficulty. They come up on eBay fairly often, and tend not to go for much money when they do. The reason for this is that the set dates from the early 1970s, when Tamiya’s figures weren’t of the best. A particular problem is that they forgot to take into account the difference in stature between the average Japanese and the average North European, so the figures are a little on the short side.

Nevertheless, probably a better starting point than anywhere else I’ve been able to find.

Cheers,

Chris.

She is a Japanese girl taking part in “cosplay” in the Harajuku district of Tokyo. Take a look here:

(Lots of nice other sites as well).

I heard of it before my trip to Japan 2 years ago. I went on a Sunday to see them. It was quite a show.

The reason I picked her was for her hat…I kinda think it works well for me because 1, I like Japanese Girls and 2, I like to build German Armor.

Thanks, I thought it might be cosplay, or she was in a band.

I’m with you, she’s cute. And if it makes no sense, well, isn’t that true of 99% of anime, too? That’s what makes it fun to watch.

ps1scw, I have that 3-piece Tamiya set in my stash. If you can’t find what you want and need them, send me an e-mail or pm. They are still in the plastic bag. Never used them. Tossed the box a long-long-long time ago in a space saving move. Tossed it in a box with an 18-piece Monogram U.S. Infantry figure set and others. Good Luck in your search.[:)]
