I’m A armor modellor occacasionally likes To change gears to cars & bikes.I’ve been fond of Tamiya’s nsx"s. But I like engine detailing. Are any of tamiya’s NSX’S that Have a full Engine ?
I know some of the older kits do but Im not sure about these new ones.
The Castrol Mugen NSX, Kit#24202 has one. Have one in the stash, looks like a typical well detailed Tamiya 1:24 kit. That’s the only one I have, not sure about the rest.
I believe none of the newer NSX kits (ie. the “2005” models) which have the [censored] die-cast underbody/floor pan include the engine details.
Hi rudedog,
be careful with newer releases, they tend NOT to have an engine. I bought the GT-R skyline (limited edition w photoetch) and this didn’t have one neither did the Nismo Z (Japanese Champinion). The last kit has a metal bottom plate.
My vintage Toyota GT One & Peugeots 205 + 405 rallye cars still have them.
One wonders why, when model tend to become better in quality and thus modellers getting used to get high quality kits, Tamiya leave the beating hearts (read engines) out of the theirs cars…
Hi, good to see you back on track!
Sent you a PM regarding the Paris/Dakar Honda.
About the NSX-question, this is what you have to play with if you want to build with engine detail, quite a few.
