the citroen looks good

I saw that last night and gussed that was a rebox. Is the Esci kit worth while to buy or should I stay away from it?

I don’t know about the esci kit. I guess it was Ok especially for AMTech, Italeri and now Tamiya to rebox it.

Dreaded Red X’s…

Sure, it’s a rebox, just like all the Italeri stuff Tamiya reboxes, and is clearly marked as such.
I saw the 123A-1 at the Shizuoka show, and the finished model on display looked great.

Yes, the Citroen is quite nice, too!

Will it be sold in the US or is it for the Japanese home market only ?

Regards, Rick

I think it will be just for the Japanese market only, since all of there other Italeri reboxed stuff is sold in Japan only.

I never knew Tamiya re-boxed other companies molds…

Just for imports into the Japanese market.
Also, they are clearly marked as to the origins of the kit. “Made by Italeri,” etc, right on the box, so there’s little chance of getting hoodwinked! [;)]

Thanks for the info Brian, I feel a lot better knowing they remark the kits appropriately. It sounds a lot like the beer imports here in the US. Most of them are made by so-and-so company but usually imported by Bud…Like Corona. Or like Guinness imports Harp, Red Stripe and used to import Bass. Importing is a strange business.
