Tamiya

I am a little shy about posting anything here as I am a rank amateur at modeling but I just gotta say how impressed I am with the Tamiya kit 335017, the 88mm Flak 36/37. If you want a really enjoyable challenge read up on this gun and get the kit. It is fantastic ! …and any of you out there who have successfully built this one I would dearly love to hear about your experience with the assembly of the communications cable reels :-).

Haven’t built that particular kit, but Tamiya is certainly one of my favorite brand names.

Regards, Rick

I built one over 25 years ago and i still have it. It resides in my son’s room. I left off the cable reels to the best of my knowledge. I only have the gun itself, all the rest is history.

I have built the same kit last year. Overall fit was very good and the details are fine for a very old kit. I wound up the cables as per instructions. Here are some pics:

For its age it is a very nice kit, even though I think the cables are way too thick but that is easily fixed.
I build the kit twice.
First time was to create a 1/35 Dio based on a Hasegawa 1/72 Dio kit/set. Second time was it being towed.

I haven’t built mine, but have it sitting in the stash. All initial inspections led to a conclusion that it is an oldie, but a goodie.

I just got my first Tamiya kit last year, haven’t built it yet but just going through the box impressed me. The attention to detail was far better than in most of the kits I usually buy. It won major points by having the manufaturer supplied noseweight.

Ok, so whathell…it’s an old kit. It was new to me and I had a lot of fun with it.
(nuts!)

glad you had fun, that the most important thing to me when I build
