So i figured I’d start with something cheap since this is my first run at weathering. I’ts official, I’m hooked. Did a quick wash, some dot filtering, added some oil to the engine and underside, and threw in a small amount of pigment. Next up, a King Tiger and a Sturmtiger.

I suspect that you did a pretty nice job with it. Unfortunately, your lighting is too low and your photos are too blurry to really tell. When you’re taking close up photos, see if your camera has a macro setting to adjust the focus for near subjects. Oftentimes, a camera macro setting will be indicated by a flower icon.

I was afraid the pics would’nt look that good, but my tail is wagging like never before…I’m hooked on this weathering stuff, just have to remember not to go overboard. I basicly wanted to beat the hell out of this one, and then I think I’ll tone it down on the next few ones. Please don’t send the dogs after me, but i took these pics with…my camera phone.[xx(] I will be finishing a few projects next week, and will be gettin’ a new dig camera then. I look forward to posting some more in the next few days/week. Thanks for all input.

Camera phone?!? Given that disclaimer, I’m almost impressed with the photo quality. Oddly enough, if you had held your your phone just a wee bit further out from the jeep, the photos might have been not too bad. It seems like in a couple of the photos, some paint bottles on your work bench that were a bit further out were in decent focus.

I was aiming for(pun intended) the detail and weathering. The pics are’nt that good, but to reiterate…I’M HOOKED ON WEATHERING…LMAO
