Tamiya White Putty

Well ;

I finally broke down and bought some of this stuff . Geez , is it thin ! it’s the item 87095 .

I was reading the warnings on the tube and this stuff is dangerous ! No , not really . Any modeling tool can be dangerous if used improperly .

Now for the results . I like this stuff . I never thought I would find a modeling putty , In a Tube , I would like . Looks like after all these years I found one I may learn to like a lot !

Welcome to the fold!

It’s the only regular putty I’ve used for decades. Easy to work, and no surprises or ‘bad habits.’

I did read that it’s been reformulated recently, though based on packaging I haven’t tried the new version yet.

Agree, but for the price a larger tube of Bondo Glazing Putty can be had. It dries a little faster that Tamiya and is softer when set.

I like it. I find it a bit difficult to spread/apply right out of the tube and haven’t tried thinning. But it dries fast and sands easy and is not porous e.g. paints well. Squadron Green is at the back of the bench :wink:
