This is the tamiya Tiger 1 late with cav zimm and Tamiya grills and a couple of scratched bits, i started building this at the beggining of the year and have been working on the final touches on the weathering while i was building the T34/85, It was built for fun and for my shelf and it is my first tiger 1.

You did a great job on one of my favorite kits. Camo and weathering are your usual top-notch. I like the effect around the muffler guards. Hopefully not your last one. Actually I think you need to build Dragon’s for a comparison. LOL

That really is a beautiful job. I like your subtle and complete weathering job. Another thing I noticed is that you have that paint/weathering almost completely flat. I’ve been unable to do that so far with Acryl flat clear. How do you achieve that? Oh…and what pigments do you use?

Looks great, (as usual) the camo is subtly faded and
the entire tank is worn “just right”…. especially
the tracks. I thought this was a Dragon kit at first glance.
Only thing I see is that maybe the hull markings
should be a “little” more dustier that than the turret
ones……
but that is just nitpicking.
I wanna see the rest of that t-34.

As sweet as that Tiger build is, your lady friend in your avatar is quite lovely, too, although in a much more feminine and beguiling way than the Panzer.

Hi Eric actually this one was bought and built because i didnt want to cut my teeth on the dragon initial and that is the onlt tiger i have in the stash i didnt get any others while they were available and they are far too pricey for me now but i goota say this tamiya kit isnt shabby at all.
Steve (Crockett) i was expecting you to set me straight on a few things knowing your passion for the tigers i guess your cutting me a bit of slack here [:)] i appreciate the comments.
QT, i use testors dullcote through the airbrush to flatten the finish. everything else i tried does’nt compare. I didnt use any pigments, i have some temp powder which is brown powder that you add water to get paint i assume its similar to pigments except i get a 16oz bottle for $4 but it only comes in this one brown but i use it for the tracks and lower hull to get buildup everything else is done with oil washes.
Steve i think the T34 only makes 6 [:)] the hull makings do look a little bright under the lights but are much duller in rl i think the reason they shine more is the thicker white band i appreciate the comments and i wish you would stay out of my basement with your camera,im gonna have to set the dogs loose.
MBT shes the one in charge of quantity around here when her foot goes down all production stops heh. Truth is shes the reason i get up in the morning i keep her picture around to remind myself how lucky i am.[:)]
Tread the elves were a secret dood i get them cheap labour if everyone finds out the price will go up.

very well done, nice suttle weathering, not overdone at all…and I see you “blackened” the muzzle break leaving yourself open to the age old smokeless powder dedate!
