Tamiya SDKFZ 25,1 completely abandoned..FINISHED!. pics.page5.

This is sharp!!! Nice work man! Bravo

I would not have bent and warped the road wheels. Anything dramatic enough to bend a wheel would have shorn it off and sent if flying. I’d remove those if I were you.

Thank you very much for your comments. [:)]

What kind of streaks? would you recommend.

My very friend

I cannot appreciate your support and on going entusiasm… [Y]

Keeps me trying to improve myself, you can provide good criticism without being too harsh.

Hopefully, one day I will build better models, this is just my 5th attempt.

Thank you, maybe someday I will do a plane and hopefully make a decent one like yours.

Good observation, I will not include them on the diorama.

Thanks for your advice.

[Y]

Well, I think you’ve done a tremendous job, garzonh. I certainly don’t see anything wrong with it. I doubt I’ll be trying anything like this when I build mine. I wouldn’t know where to start to build a burned out tank.

I really thank your supportive comments and appreciation.

I must say, it comes to trying to experiment. Indeed I chose this cheap model to try this out. This one I bought it for $18USD, so I experiemented with the burned look painting and also I will do more “old & abandoned” oil painting to make it look abandoned for months.

Im still trying to do so much things new and comfortabel, my opinion is to always build something challenging. So, my next challenge will be a diorama. definitely not easy at all.

On my “to do” list I have: winter cammo, lighlty weared and dusty for my Merkava kit,

have a great day![Y]

Seriously, well …
not the nude!http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/mooning/mooning-girl.gif type or germans !http://dorkychickinlipstick.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/streaker-cartoon-streaking-funny-nude-naked.gif?w=43!http://dorkychickinlipstick.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/streaker-cartoon-streaking-funny-nude-naked.gif?w=43!http://dorkychickinlipstick.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/streaker-cartoon-streaking-funny-nude-naked.gif?w=43running for cover, but I believe you get my meaning… since it’s a deserted wreck you could use the whole gamut of rainmarks, paint discoloration and of course the classic rust streaks seeping out of those paint chips.

OK, will do!!

Thanks.

I just got back from vacation to work and definitely my good “streaking” pace will slow down…

So, hopefully will have some progress during weekend.

I for one think it’s looking pretty awesome. Is this really only your 5th build? I’m on something like my 50th and haven’t even attempted something like this. Keep up the nice work…

Hello my friend, yes, this is my 5th you can see my history on building in my posts where I started with my 1st build.

Go ahead and go crazy, dare to do it…I always try to do some weird crazy stuff I had never attempted.

Thanks for your comments!!

you dare to try…it doesn’t get any better.

good job.

Thank you very much!

I have not finished, yesterday I just added my 4th layer of oils and varnish…I want to add another 4 layers of oil filters and streaks, weathering before calling it a “finished”.

Got a chance this past week end to look a bit more at the pics and was really impressed with the application of damage and wear. Plus, with all the positive advice and ideas from folks it’ll only get better. Great job!

I bet you been out a !http://dorkychickinlipstick.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/streaker-cartoon-streaking-funny-nude-naked.gif?w=43all weeekend!

Thank you for your comments, and yes, with so much advice from everybody it can only get better!

Hahahaha… [:D]

Tried to, but celebrated my mother in law and my wifes birthday, too much going on…did not advance anything at all.

Had to put my army on display…one of them was about to get “comissioned” to another home.

[:O]

Good work ! Nice looking Sdkfz 251 btw (if you can say “nice” to a damaged and burned vehicle [:P]).

How did you managed your burned and cooked off effect ? Did you actually melt the plastic ?

Lets say I used several “technics”

The hood I carved out one of the sides with a knife until it was separated then I used some pliers to bend it, by accident it gave it that “melting look”.

The colors are a set of filters from true earth, i did some experiments on spare parts which came out better than this…

I actually melted the tire and with heat also bended the side covers and made a hole in it with a hot knife.

Thanks for your comments and interest!
