Thats right its the old Tamiya pz II f/g kit so no laughing heh, its finished except for a couple of jerry cans and an air recognition panel when i get them done. I have had this build in mind for about two years now since i built one and messed it up the first time around while in my modeling infancy, ive had the items in the pile for ages and finally decided to get her done before dragon release a new kit and mess up my agenda so without further ado here she is, i used the tracks and wheels from the Alan pz II c and the eduard PE set. This was a personal thing for me and i am really happy with the result and had a lot of fun doing it. Thanks for looking and feel free to comment or make jokes
Nothing to joke about there, Ron! I’ve always loved this little gem, it as one of my first builds too. You did a nice job in a color not often seen–what is that? Afrika Braun?
Are they the kit lenses in the lights or aftermarket? (I can’t remember!)
Once again, you’ve proved something that I’ve come to hold as absolutely true–that even an old kit that’s not up to today’s exacting standards can be beautifully rendered with a little TLC and a great finish!
Thanks Doog, this one was seriously fun, the colour was mixed and i have no idea what it is i just kinda eyeballed it untill i liked what i saw im bad for that [:)] and the headlights i just bored out the kit ones with my knife, painted the inside aluminum then filled it up with 5 min clear epoxy.
Man Ron, now that you’re feeling better, you’re really cranking the builds out. Love the Afrika Korps look there. I like the goodies that you added. Another build worthy of your shelf.
awsome kit you have, I am going to a hobby shop today and you inspired me to get that little bugger, were there any problems like fitting or alignment or gaps? and are there markings for the Eastern front?
you must be a slave driver to keep those little M&M guys so busy.do they get a day off.the only efficient tank factories do run 24/7.wunderbar,now take a break.nice job on such an old kit.[tup][tup]
…unusual markings—what unit does this depict?..looks like an Afrika scheme but the two white X’s indicate a 6th Panzer vehicle, which didn’t serve in Africa…maybe those are some rare tactical or unit markings???..anyway, good build…
