The picture is blurry when it comes to the decals but i see a set of R-01 decals, I just finished my Hessler Tiger tank and those are the same identification numbers on it, also it looks as if the kit comea with WW2 german crosses as well! can anyone else confirm this ?
Looks to be a Tamiya update of the Italeri kit. The mantlet is changed and perhaps some other parts.
The decals appear to be actual Bundeswehr markings, with the R01 markings being appropriate for the period of use.
Ahh I didn’t know this, i was more concerned and curious cause it looked as if there were some iron crosses next to the bundeswehr ones.
Tamiya’s been doing this stuff for years. Their very first Hummer with the M242 Bushmaster was an Italeri kit inside the box, but for some reason Italeri never released that kit in their own box.
More recently, they’ve added bits and pieces into the old Italeri M109 and not quite as old M109A6 Paladin.
The old Italeri M47 Patton is arguably the best original Italeri tank kit to date with the Leopard 1 in there as well.
