Tamiya Plastic Sriber any good?

I have some old kits I was going to remove the raised panel lines scribe them back in. Is this tool any good?

My local shop can special order it for me. That or Testors but it do not look that good.

You can get a very decent (Chinese made) set of scribers from Harbor Freight…using them on styrene, they will last forever.

Lt, You got a link or part number for those ? I have never been to Harbor Freight. [C):-)]

Luckly I have a habhor freight here in town. I found these on-line

They look pretty close to the Testor scriber. I might give them a shot, as they are only 2 bucks.

But has anyone had experince with the Taimya scriber.

I have one of the Tamiya and one from Squadron. The Tamiya is better for a deeper heavy cut on open areas and when scribing plastic sheet for cutting. The Squadron is better for more precise delicate work. The two compliment each other.
