Tamiya Pershing finished pics.

hi guys this is one i have been working on in the background it wasnt a kit i was overly excited about building but i did enjoy the experience and it is a very nice kit to build the only issue i had with it was joining the turret halves, i am really happy to have it on the shelf and it is quite an impressive tank when viewed with vehicles of the same era i will probably add some stowage at some point to finish it out.

Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome.

Ron.

A real curveball Ron. I have one in the stash. It certainly is impressive compared to the German heavies. As always I like the subtle, but used effects. What do you use to get the dusty look.

What a coincidence that I opened the FSM site today. I have just finished the assembly of my Tamiya Pershing and I’m just about to start painting it and seeing your work gave me a lot of ideas on how to finished up my built. Great work! I like the subtle weathering.

Another fine addition to your growing collection Ron! [tup]

[tup] AS usual Ron, the paint job on #12 here is super as with the weathering. [:P] I always love to see your builds. Was beginning to wonder where you went. A bit of constructive criticism… [D)] and it’s just probably me. It looks [:O] like a “very” faint gap between the upper and lower hull in front (right hand side) in picture 2. It’s probably just accumulated wash though.

Wow, a tank from my old unit! 3/33 Armor. We had a few Pershings on display around the post in Germany. This build brings back some memories. Nice job as usual Ron.

Steve

Despite not being “overly excited” about this build it sure came out awfully nice! [tup] Great build!

Really nice job Ron. I have always wanted to build the Pershing.

Thanks guys for the comments,

hi Steve that gap is one of those things that only shows up in pictures i saw it and checked then looked again and what it is, is not a gap but the tiniest of lips causing a shadow and is not visible to the eye so i felt it wasnt worth risking having to repaint it to fix it so i let it slide heh.

As far as a lack of not being over excited about this build i think was more a personal mood in retrospect because the kit is a great kit to build and i do like the tank itself so i should point that out to anyone interested in building this i say go for it you will not be dissapointed.

Thanks again.

Ron.

Outstanding build. [tup][tup] What were the issues with the turret? Whatever they were, there seems to be nothing wrong with final build.

Andy

looks fantastic ron. love the weathering. what did you do to get the great exhaust look?

[:D]heya ron—I have to agree with Tigerman-- seeing you build something aside from your usual genre of Russian and German vehicles is a real curve ball!-- a beautiful change-up of a pitch!–as always man, your builds rock the house–great job[tup]–I almost picked up Tamiya’s 1/16 version of this-now it is crossing my mind again—[}:)]— tread[8D]
