Tamiya P-38G Pics

Finished this earlier last week – was made for a friend from church whose uncle was lost over Guadalcanal flying one of these. Was among the best engineered kits I have ever encountered – maybe only second to some Bandai Star Wars.

I will admit that my weathering technique is most “just dirty & scuff it up randomly” rather than anything carefully considered.

1/32nd scale? Looks great and it is on my build list.

1/48 scale. A great kit

Great job. Your weathering/wear n tear looks really good. I’m hoping my P-38 build looks as good.

Your build looks really good. I’m building that same kit now. Adding the Black Dog engine and open gun bay to it for a planed maintenance diorama. Wonderful kit. Agree that the engineering of this kit is fantastic -almost snaps together.

Nice looking P-38! I need to fork over the dough for one of these at some point!

Fantastic looking “Fork-tailed Devil” larskeme! The P-38 has always been my favorite WWII plane. I really like them in the OD/grey scheme. I’ve got to get both of these Tamiya kits soon. Very nice of you to build it for your friend whose uncle flew the P-38.
