Ok so I had no idea what to build now after the show. I pondered for a day or two and finally I had the Wife go into the stash and pick the next build. So here it is, the next WIP:

Stay tuned,
Bob

Good one Bob! I’ve had one of these in the stash for ages…I’ll be watching this build closely!
Nate
3000 miles away I have the same kit, picked up a set of Canadian unit decals as well. Looking forward to seeing the kit built as one day I hope to be reunited and build it also. If I had the decals here I would offer up the ones that will not be used.
Bob,
Oh, you’re gonna like this one. I did the NF several years ago and it’s what you’d expect from Tamiya. it builds up into an impressive display. Sooooo, you figure maybe a week and a half for this one? [:D]
Cheers
Dave
Must be quite the chore to have to pick through such a large stash. LOL Obviously your wife knows planes. She picked a very popular bird. Is this 1/32? I can’t see the box.
Slow progress but getting there.
Nate - Thanks for popping buy, have a seat and enjoy
Supressionfire - good to see you following along and thanks for the offer. If you had them I might have taken you up on the offer.
Dave - my brother, a week or so…LOL…Nooooooooooo. This is a wonderful kit. I will say I am not used to building the LG bay, wings, and landing gear first, hit me as a little odd but Tamiya knows what it is doing. Hey, still waiting on that call. Dont know when your in and dont want to wake you.
Tigerman - my brother Eric,…hey I was perplexed after the show, I had no clue at all what I wanted to build. So I let Anne go through the stash and here we are.
As I stated the progress is slow. This is what i have so far:

Hopefully more later.
Bob
Well its about time I posted some more pics. I got all the interior parts painted and the office is progressing. Her is some of the IP progress ( I just couldnt use the decal);

I will have the rest of the CP photos today.
Bob
Bob,
Thanks for the detailed WIP’s I gave me a cool idea for IP’s Was thinking painting a base coat of dark grey then dry brushing the raised faces flat black. Kind of a inverse way of dry brushing.
I will be following this thread as I am heading west at the end of June and thinking of mailing myself some of the stash or sending a few on the Grey hound. (bus)
Suppresionfire - glad I could be of some help. If you check out my thread on my 1/32 JU-87D there is some good shots of the IP I did for that in gray and black.
Almost forgot the landing gear shots:

Bob
Thanks M1!
Landing gear looks great! From what I hear the Tamiya kit is excellent, it will be fun to ship or mail it to myself!
Coming together nicely!
Nate
Nice, looks way better than my 72nd airfix one already.
Nate - Thank you!
Scorpio - I dont know how you 1/72 scale guys do it. I cannot, its way to small for me. Heck even some 1/48th scale aircraft (early aviation) are tiny.
Bob
Dont get me started. Plenty of my 72nd kits have nearly met their demise at the hands of the living room wall.
Looks good so far! Working on a Mossie PR Mk IV version right now. She’s almost done, needs a gloss coat and decals, then the small parts and a flat coat to finish her up. Got another Mossie in the stash I believe is a NF Mk II
Looking very nice Bob, the IP and landing gear both look great. I have this kit also and I got the Aires cockpit to go with it, had planned to build it last year but it keeps getting bumped down the list [^o)]
Keep up the great work [Y]
Cheers…
Great detail work Bob. I hope you can see it in the end to appreciate all the work.
Bob, Great looking IP I swear I’m going to improve on that skill, but I keep finding those photoetch panels. Rick.
Great looking IP, Bob. Man I wish that I still had the eyes and a steady hand for that kinda detail. I’m envious. I can’t wait to see the finished product. I’m sure that I won’t have long to wait. lol
Art
B17 - thanks for popping in buddy
Mike - Thank you so much
Eric - my brother, I hope its not hidden either…at least I know its in there…LOL. On antoher not I have a Has 1/48 Japanese AC kit for you.
Rick - I know what you mean. I have a couple of AM kits for some of my AC and they are tempting but I enjoy hand painting them. Ill give one a shot and see how well I can detail it.
Art - Thanks Art, still working away on it. I still haven’t mated the fuselage halves yet…LOL
More shots to follow this evening Gents.
