Tamiya Meteor F.1

[Is Tamiya’s 1/48th scale Gloster Meteor F.1 inaccurate in any way, namely the dive brakes? I’m about to start this kit, but any photoreferences I’ve seen of real F.1s appear to have no visible dive brakes. Anyone any idea?[

I can confirm the rumur about wing innaccuracy, I do have the kit but alas it is stored in a future projects closet for 3 years now…lol
Try a google search for it either include kit review, innaccuracies etc

Many thanks for your help, thyamus. I did a google search and discovered the early Tamiya kits of the F.1 mistakenly included dive brakes in the wings because Tamiya based their kit on a Museum example of a F.1 that had the wings of a F.3. All later kits were corrected.

The Tamiya F.1 has the F.3 wing as previously stated, but the kit #61051 can build one of the prototype Meteor aircraft, or fill the dive brakes in with filler, the prototypes where finished in Dk Earth Dk Green over Yellow.
Have built this kit but as the prototype.
