Tamiya M1A2 OIF Return Wheel

Hi all,

Any reason why one wheel is larger in length then the other on the Tamiya OIF Model??

A12 is bigger then A13.

Thanks

They support opposite sides (ie. ether side of the guide horn) track. The short one supports the inboard side and the long one supports the outboard side.

As far as I am aware, it’s represented that way on all M1/A1/A2 kits, not just Tamiya’s.

Thanks.[#oops]

And not only on the kits but on the real tank itself!

I’m going to correct myself now…

The forward return roller, which has the “long” shaft in the kit, is actually inboard of the guide teeth on the real thing. http://svsm.org/gallery/m1a1abramsjh3/DSC07270

Dragon’s M1A1 AIM kit depicts both return rollers as being inboard of the guide teeth.
