Tamiya M1 Abrams Progress

So what do you guys think, any good for my first attempt? I still need to apply a coat of future before I attempt at weathering ( never done any weathering before, be washes or pastels, I bought some earth tone pastels to try my hand at this)

Looks like it is coming along well. One question, why did you leave most of the pieces off before painting? Now you will either have poor attachments due to the paint, or have to scratch the paint off to bare plastic before glueing, then repaint once the glue is dry. General convention is to build all that you can before painting. That means all small items and pretty much anything that s th ehull color(s) gets built and painted all at the same time. Then you are only left with detail items (road wheels, vision blocks, MGs, etc.) to paint separately and don’t have to worry about the above issues with glue sticking and repainting.

Good luck from here.

Because i’m an idiot lol I started putting all the small things on tonight, I just finished the railings on the sides of the turret, I’ll work on the rest tomorrow and then paint it again. This is my first armor model so I guess thats big mistake number one lol. [banghead]

That’s allright. We live and learn.Keep us posted.

It’s been awhile since I posted last, I kinda put the Abrams on the back burner for a whilem but I attempted my first wash today, tell me what you think, I still have to clean it up a bit more.
