Over the holiday break, I managed to purchase serveral 1/35 armor kits (without my wife know of course). I purchased M-8 Greyhound and M-20 scout car made by Tamiya. Both kits look good to me, but one thing is bothering me about the M-8. It came with M-1 Carbine which is not the version used during WWII (well, at least not the earlier part of the war). It should have come with M1 Carbine with L type flip rear sight rather than square ajustable rear sight. It also has a bayonet lug, which should not be there. Any one know where I can get an earlier version M1 carbine and M1-A1 Paratrooper carbine (I really don’t want to do any modification due to my own laziness) in 1/35 scale?
Hey M1.You had me wondering because I checked the M8 and my kit had no carbine init. The M20 kit did though(I thought I got jipped) I have both the early carbine and the M1-A1.Give me your address and I’ll mail them to you.If you want a bunch of the carbines the Italeri weapons set has abunch of diff. weapons including the earlyM-1, no M1-A1 though.
Thanks guys. I have Dragon WWII U.S. Paratrooper some where will also check the WWII weapons set from Tamiya and other companies as well. I think finding the M1A1 paratrooper carbine would be the toughest one.
Stug, I may have to take up on your offer.
