Tamiya JGSDF light armored vehicle

has anyone built this? i’m exploring other vehicles from other countries and while everyone seems to go for german and WWII stuff and M1variations and the like, i’m looking into kits that may not be as popular.

one of those kits is the JGSDF light armored vehicle. this thing looks interesting and looks pretty good from the pictures on tamiya’s site.

i’m also looking into the JGSDF armor.

I own this kit, and I am building it for the mad armored car day build, It is a VERY nice offering from tamiya, lots of detail, although no extra goodies…darn, but that is ok, since the kit is very pretty, just a little worried over that die cast hull…

I also got the kit, I beleive it is a bit scarce on some details compared to the real thing.

Goes together quiet easily and the die-cast hull is pre-primed, tires are a bit too soft for my liking.

Don’t have it, yet. It looks pretty good. Here is a review, compliments of PMMS:

It is on my to buy / to do list.

This is a very nice kit but it is missing the grab handles for the hood and the front headlight guards. Those will have to be scratchbuilt or hopefully they can be found on a p/e set.

I’ve heard very good things about the kit. However, as far as obscure vehicles go, this one does not really fit the bill for me.
