Hi everyone, long time no post, I have been busy. I am still on track though of my two a month goal. This 1/48 Fw-190 will be number 6. I am going to the Ipms Slc X with this. Anyone coming? Well, this is my second Tamiya kit, it is amazing molds, but I don’t like how they don’t tell what color to use, they just label their Tamiya paint numbers.
Their decals were not that great either, really thick. I guess I can’t complain, I bought this kit for $10 at the last model contest. I will for sure build more Tamiya kits, but I might use aftermarket decals.
This was a fun build.

Usually they have a small chart on the 1st or 2nd page of the instruction sheet that translates their paint-numbers to the color names…
I love the Dora it’s one of my all time favourites…Thats the 72nd scale kit right???
Splendid FW-190. I like the markings (Reich defense?). $10? Great bang for your buck.

Looks good, Andrew. I can usually get Tamiya decals to settle down pretty well with Micro-Sol. They’ll wrinkle a little bit when you first apply it, but if you’re careful you can snug them down nicely.
Lookin’g good raptordriver, thumbs up. I’ve built Tamiya’s 1/72 “Dora” and had a great time with it. The decals did seem a little thick on mine too but I had no issues with them. Is the “defence of Reich” band decal also? Always difficult trying to make a decal settle in there with the compound curves etc.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I wasn’t very specific I guess. I didn’t like how Tamiya didn’t tell you what RLM colors the plane was supposed to be. But I found out.

Very nice Dora. It’s hard to go wrong with the Tamiya kits in my opinion.

Not sure how I missed this one before, but I sure am glad I caught it this time! Well done Andrew, those Tamiya Doras are hard to beat, especially for $10. I like your paintjob on this one very much too.
